What green technologies has your business announced recently?
We’ve launched a new line of solar panels, EverVolt™, that deliver high efficiency, low degradation rate, and heterojunction technology that maximizes sunlight conversion. To complete Panasonic’s total home energy solution for homeowners, we also provide the EverVolt Battery Storage system that helps store excess power that solar panels generate during the day, which can be used during grid outages and/or peak hours.
How does this new technology advance the world towards a greener future?
Panasonic’s technology is helping pave the way for homeowners to have a sustainable and energy efficient future by continuing to deliver high quality and dependable renewable solutions. By focusing on solar power, we thrive on delivering a clean and sustainable energy source that helps us reduce our carbon footprint while taking advantage of the sun’s energy.
Why is a green future important to you?
A green future is extremely important for me because it is a way for us to contribute towards a cleaner environment for our children and future generations. As an added benefit, renewable energy will help lower our utility bills and become grid independent.

What green technologies has your business announced recently?
Hussmann has recently announced the microDS and microSC product lines. These are two unique product platforms that use propane (R-290) refrigerant cases with up to 150g of refrigerant. These can be water or air cooled, dependent on the model selected. In addition, Hussmann has restated its commitment to natural refrigerants and increased our focus and promotion of our CO2 (transcritical and subcritical) systems and cases.
How do these new technologies advance the world towards a greener future?
The R-290 and CO2 refrigerant gasses are extremely low global warming potential (GWP) refrigerants that have great refrigeration properties and significantly reduce the direct emissions that may come from leaks in a traditional synthetic refrigeration system.
Why is a green future important to you?
At Hussmann, we tie all of our decision making back to what we call "The Hussmann Promise." Our increased focus on natural refrigerants and more energy-efficient solutions are a pathway to that better world.

What green technologies has your business announced recently?
Our Indoor Air Quality (IAQ) Division continues the transition to greener, more energy efficient technologies in their ventilation fans. We have moved from putting AC motors in our ventilation fans, to more powerful and energy efficient DC(ECM) motors. We have also transitioned our CFL lighting technology on our fan/light models to LED. In 2020, we launched the Cosmos Healthy Home System, which uses an open IoT platform to continually monitor indoor air quality levels and then automatically address the removal of polluted air and moisture from the home. Cosmos takes our best ventilation solutions and gets them communicating as a system to provide healthy homes…automatically! Later this year, Panasonic IAQ will have a new energy efficient, maintenance-free air purification product for the home that features our nanoe-X technology; so please stay tuned!
How does the new technology advance the world towards a greener future?
Panasonic’s DC(ECM) motors are more powerful and energy efficient than AC motors. Our DC(ECM) motors also incorporate SmartFlow technology, which ensures the fan performs as rated. When the fan senses static pressure, its speed is automatically increased to ensure optimal CFM output. This allows for easy compliance with the latest green building codes and standards – and more importantly, healthier indoor air quality for occupants. Our fan/light combo models incorporate one 10W dimmable LED chip panel with <1W LED night light for warm, long-life energy efficient illumination. Our LED lights are ENERGY STAR 2.0 certified and JA-8 compliant for CA Title 24. LED also does not require recycling like CFL lights do. Our patented nanoe-X air purification technology utilizes charged water particle generation technology to purify contaminated indoor air and help eliminate odors, 24 hours a day! All of these technologies combined help improve occupant health and comfort in the home/building.
